Went to MFA for a Yousuf Karsh's photography exhibition. Love the portraits, love how he used light and shadow. Most importantly, the ingenious talent to capture the characteristic of the subjects in front of his camera. Of course he had many good opportunities to get famous subjects sit for him. 2008 fall foliage trip

一直听说Woodstock, Vermont是一个值得一游的小城，城边有Billings Farm & Museum 和Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park，城东又Quechee Gorge。上个周末终于成行。不过途中在NH的一个 State Park里多转了会儿，到Woodstock已经下午4点了。走了一条短而略陡的trail,赶到Mt. Tom south peak上正好太阳开始西下，照在小城和周围的农场山丘上别有一番风景。远远的还有热气球升空，在上边看红叶一定很棒吧。

中秋“吃月“

哈哈，阳春白雪的吟诗赋词。下里巴人的惦记着吃喝。
以前试过腌咸蛋，不太成功。最近又试了一个方子，耐心等了一个月。今天一煮，个个都是油汪汪的。开心。

周五下班后，拿上相机去参加BPC的newbury 扫街，照夜景活动。去晚了，从arlington这边的Chanel开始追，不一会儿就看到了拿着“长枪，短跑”的小队人马。打了个招呼后大家继续“扫街”。照着照着人马就散了。俺正捧着相机东张西望，忽然听见后面有人好像在招呼我。回头一看是一位身着红色长裙的艳丽女子。她说“ I am a psychic. You know what it is? a fortune teller. I can sense a strong aura surrounds you. I think you meant to find happiness and love. I would love to have a reading for you.” 我心想，大概看到我傻乎乎乐呵呵的东张西望吧。其实我在找有什么可照的讷。于是装糊涂。她又问我会讲何种语言。我说中文。她说会一点日文。俺赶紧说“too bad， maybe next time." 难得“艳遇"。 是以记之。:)

五月的花花世界

周六去参加一个婚礼，遇到几个有一阵没见的朋友，挺高兴的。婚礼上帮忙照相，一会儿蹲下，一会儿站起来，应该穿平跟鞋就好了，搞得我今天腿疼，跟昨天爬了一天山似的。老了。:(

都五月了，小风一吹还是很凉，不过花花草草都开了，看着就让人心情好了起来。

中国城看舞狮

以前去中国城，基本上是限时定点，买了菜就走。周日去看舞狮游行，边跟着队伍边照相，来来回回走了N条街。看到了好几家以前光听说的店家。舞狮游行队伍是从ESSEX/Washington交界处临时搭的舞台出发。各路队伍轮流上台献艺，配着鼓点，踢踏腾跃，摇首摆尾。然后伏下拾起台上准备好的红包利市，大橘，生菜（大吉，生财）。利市纳入腰包，大橘，生菜抛给台下众人。眼见一大橘子向我飞来，为了掩护相机，我奋不顾手的接住了它。哈哈，我也迷信一把，但愿今年好运也向我飞来。
