My new toy
Just got a new gadget, a Panasonic DMC-TZ5 digital camera. The things I am looking for when I researched online for my DC.
1) compact, hopefully ultra compact so that I could carry it all the time, hiking, XC skiing...
2) ideally has wide angle side < 30mm
3) ideally more than 4X optic zoom.
4) with image stabilizer
5) good review on low light performance
6) use SD card
7) less than 250USD, got this one from B&H for 249.95, haha.
I am going to play with the new toy these days and will update.
update 1:
1) no optic viewfinder, but has a bright 3"LCD.
2)Video recording can only open with quicktime,had to get a quicktime pro, then convert to avi and open in windows media player
3) 28mm wide angle is good for landscape
4) decent 280mm end even at low light
5) nice to be able to set the slowest shutter limit, and in combination with IS, pictures turned out okay at low light.
6) a little too many options or controls to my taste.
